Add this to your cart if you want the pottery you made at your workshop to be glazed and kiln-fired to make them durable, waterproof and food-safe.
Select the method of pottery return (pickup or shipping) that contains the abbreviation for the state where your workshop took place. Then, select the number of pieces you want to have glazed + fired.
After your workshop, you must submit this digital form to ensure you receive your pieces back (don’t worry, we’ll send this via email). In the form, you’ll choose your glaze (clear or white) or indicate if you plan to join us for a pottery painting session. You can register for a dedicated pottery painting session at our studio here. Please note: If we have not received a form submission within 30 days of your workshop, your pottery will be recycled. Pottery not picked up within 30 days of receiving a 'ready for pick-up' email from us, will be recycled.
⏳ Timeline: 6–8 weeks
Your piece(s) will be ready for pickup or shipping approximately 6–8 weeks after your workshop. Why does it take weeks? Each ceramic piece goes through a detailed, multi-step process:
• Drying (7–10 days): Your piece fully dries to prepare for the kiln
• Bisque Firing (24+ hours): Pieces are loaded into the kiln for the first kiln firing which hardens the clay
• Sanding + Prep: Pieces are unloaded from the kiln, then edges are smoothed and bottoms are cleaned and waxed
• Glazing: Your piece is coated in your selected finish (clear or white)
• Glaze Firing (16+ hours): Pieces are loaded back into the kiln for a second kiln firing which creates a glossy, durable finish
• Final Handling: Pieces are unloaded, sorted, and carefully packaged for pickup or shipping
This process requires time, precision, and kiln space, but is well worth the wait for a finished pottery piece that you can use and keep for years to come!

- There is an inherent risk with pottery throughout the drying and firing process. Even with careful handling, pieces can crack or break, which is part of working with clay, even for professional potters. Please view our "Refund Policy" here for details on what happens should your piece break.
