Our Needham pottery studio
Before you book
Handbuilding and pottery painting are great for ages 5+, while wheel throwing and combo parties are best for ages 8+. We’re happy to recommend the best option based on your child’s age, interests and group size.
Air-Dry Pottery — Included
Children take their creations home the same day as the party to dry, and once dry, can decorate them with acrylic paint. Air-dry pottery is decorative and is not waterproof or food-safe.
Ceramic Pottery — $15 per child
Available for handbuilding, wheel and combo parties. Includes clear glazing and two kiln firings for one durable, waterproof and food-safe piece. Pickup is typically in 6–8 weeks. We’ll contact you when your group’s pottery is ready.
Pottery Painting — Firing Included
Glazing and kiln firing are already included. Finished pottery will be waterproof and food-safe, and is typically ready for pickup in 3–4 weeks. We’ll contact you when your group’s pottery is ready.
Paint at Home
Children take their pottery home. Once it has dried completely—typically about three days—they can decorate it with acrylic paint and optionally seal it with Mod Podge.
Paint During the Party — $20 per child
Add 30 minutes to a handbuilding, wheel or combo party so children can paint their creations before leaving. This option requires the $15-per-child ceramic upgrade, which includes clear glazing and two kiln firings.
Yes. Because the standard party time is devoted to pottery, add celebration time if you want time for food, cake or presents. Outside refreshments also require the $75 food and beverage cleanup option.
Parents may stay, but our standard setup is centered on the participating children. For a more comfortable parent experience, consider the Parent Package with refreshments and a charcuterie spread.
We recommend reaching out as soon as you have a preferred date, especially for weekends. Your date is not reserved until the required deposit is paid.
We provide aprons and clay washes off with water, but pottery can still be a little messy. Children should wear comfortable clothing that can handle an occasional clay or paint mark.
