Customer Reviews
As someone who lives in the neighborhood, I love Juliet so I was so excited to book this at one of my favorite local spots. Unfortunately, I don’t feel the space that was setup was adequate for the amount of people in the class. It felt very cramped. We were elbow to elbow and I felt like I was constantly having to manage where my tools were on the table so as not to disrupt the person next to me.
I wish there had been more clear instructions and that the information about paying extra to glaze and fire your item was given closer to the beginning of the class. As someone who doesn’t know anything about pottery, I didn’t know ahead of time that in order for it to be food safe, the item has to be glazed and fired. Since the class was to make a mug, it would have been helpful to know that there would be an upcharge for this, prior to deciding what kind of item to create.
Overall, I felt the instruction was lacking. It was confusing at first because the instructor said we were making a pot, when the class was for a mug. I’m being told to start creating something, with no idea if I will be able to put a handle on it and turn it into a mug, or if I need to create something completely else.
Lastly, as we are all creating our pieces we’re suddenly told there’s only 30 minutes left. It felt very rushed in the end. I would have appreciated more frequent time checks to help us understand how to manage our time throughout the process.
Overall, I’m sad to say I was underwhelmed by the experience.
Thank you for taking the time to provide feedback on your experience at our pottery workshop. We’re sorry to hear that you found the space to be cramped and the instruction lacking. We strive to create a comfortable and informative environment for all our customers, and we apologize for any inconvenience caused. We will take your comments into consideration as we continue to improve our workshops.
