Walker Edison - a furniture and décor company - has a strong focus on people and culture with team outings, time off to volunteer + a flexible work schedule. For their quarterly team-building activity, the marketing department teamed up with Pottery with a Purpose for a pottery workshop where they connected with coworkers near + far, learned to create + decorate air dry clay pinch pots.

Details: We kicked off our first ever team pottery workshop with a hybrid event including in-person and virtual team members (someone even called in from Peru!) for Walker Edison's Marketing Team's quarterly team-building activity. 

Here's what Life at Walker Edison had to say about the event: "The team started off with lunch - those in-person had pizza at a local restaurant and those who were virtual had lunch via meal deliveries and a Teams meeting. Afterward, they all participated in a pinch pottery class from @potterywithapurpose. The class was virtual and everyone received kits from them with custom paint colors. The class was shown on a big screen for those in-person and also footage from the room was shared with those who were virtual.

Such a fun activity that worked great in our hybrid work environment! It was also fun to see everyone’s pottery creations & their creativity."
