Clay More Often

Can’t get enough of our sustainably curated DIY clay play? Stock up on more locally-sourced ceramic clay (included in the Ceramic Clay Kit) + keep the good work going! Add-on contains enough clay for 1 person. Simply sculpt with your hands or go pro with our Sculpting Tools Kit (also included in our Air Dry Clay or Ceramic Clay Kit). Dry time: 10-14 days. Clay becomes waterproof/food-safe when glazed + kiln fired to a temperature between 2167-2205° F (we can help with that).

The Ceramic Scoop

Ceramic clay is an extremely versatile medium, making it a terrific choice for novices + experienced sculptors alike. After glazing + firing, this type of clay becomes waterproof and (depending on the glaze) food-safe for use as dishware, a planter, toothbrush holder - anything you can dream up! Plus, inside the kiln, it develops a beautifully earthy light cream color flecked with dark speckles (ooh la la) or you can color it your own with our AP Non-Toxic selection of underglazes.

Try your hand at creating a pinch pot, footed planter, or ceramic mug (complete instructions included in our Ceramic Clay Kit). Widen + expand your pinch pot to create a decorative or usable bowl. Flatten clay into a rounded or square disc, pinching sides upward to make a plate for everyday use or as a gift from the heart. Need more inspiration? Check out our blog gallery.
