Unplug, unwind, and make something by hand at our feel-good pottery night — no experience needed. Whether you come for the joy of making, the community, or the craft cocktails, this guided clay workshop is all about having fun while you sip and socialize. You’ll learn pottery basics and leave with a one-of-a-kind piece (or two) you built by hand, plus the option to have your work professionally fired and glazed so it’s functional, food-safe, and waterproof.
Perfect for date night, catching up with friends, or coming solo to meet new people. Just pick the date and theme that fits your vibe in the drop-down menu.
Bonus: We donate $1 from every ticket to mental health initiatives. Learn more here about which non-profits we’ve given back to so far, and how you can help choose who we support next.
- Something to Sip On: Two cocktails, wine by the glass/beer (or mocktails!) from a selection off The Bosworth's Beverage Menu. The Bosworth's full dining menu will also be available to enjoy before, during, or after class. Reservations are welcome for dining before or after class. Click here to make a reservation for dining.
- Hands-On Instruction: A relaxed, hands-on pottery workshop guided by an experienced host. Workshop length ranges from 1.5 to 2.5 hours depending on the theme — see ‘Theme Details’ section for more info.
- Pottery 101: Learn foundational hand-building techniques like pinch pots and coils, then turn them into functional pottery with pieces like mugs, bowls, vases, or planters. We’ll also show you how to add fun touches like handles or texture.
- All Supplies Provided: We bring the clay, tools, and materials — you just bring yourself. You'll make up to 2 pottery pieces during class, plus take home extra clay for more DIY fun.
- Beginner-Friendly Vibes: Laid-back, no-pressure energy perfect for first-timers, solo guests, and friend groups alike.
- Feel-Good Energy: Enjoy a welcoming, community-centered experience hosted at unique local spots — from breweries to plant shops and cozy cafés — that make the experience feel extra special.
Kiln Firing Add-On Available for Purchase: Upgrade your creations withoptional professional kiln firing + glazing service so your finished piece is food-safe and waterproof. Click here for details, pricing and purchase. Painting your pottery is not part of the workshop unless otherwise noted.
We rotate themes so there’s always something new to create. Join us again and again to grow your pottery skills and try new projects!
Here’s what’s on the schedule:
- Clay Mug Making: You’ll learn hand-building techniques and shape your own one-of-a-kind clay cup, perfect for coffee, tea, or whatever warms your soul. Bonus: it's just as satisfying to drink from as it is to make!
- Halloween Edition: Get spooky with seasonal clay creations, think ghost tea light holders, pumpkin pinch pots, and other eerie-sistible designs. Costumes optional. Witchy, playful, and perfectly weird vibes required.
- Holiday Edition: Add a little handmade holiday magic to your season by sculpting functional festive decor or heartfelt gifts from clay. Make ornaments, candle holders, holiday trays, mini trees, or whatever you dream up. Think cozy, joyful, messily creative energy, because the best gifts are always the ones you make yourself.
- Make Your Own Plant Pot: Calling all plant parents: this one’s for you. Sculpt your own custom planter, basic, textured, footed, face-shaped, whatever your vibe. Whether your monstera needs a new home or your cactus wants an upgrade, you'll leave with a pot as unique as your plant baby.
- Sip & Sculpt: Our signature workshop. Unwind with a drink in one hand and clay in the other while you learn the basics of hand-building pottery. Make a planter, ring dish, vase, or whatever your imagination sparks.
- Address: 90 Tremont St, Boston, MA 02108
