Looking for a unique and enriching activity to engage your child or teen during school vacation? Our Vacation Week Kids' Pottery Workshops in Needham, MA offer the perfect blend of creativity, learning, and fun! Designed for kids + teen from 1st through 9th grade, these interactive workshops let young artists explore the world of pottery through engaging, hands-on projects.
These workshops will spark creativity and confidence in your child as they are guided through hands-on pottery workshops that teach kids real ceramic techniques like hand-building and glazing—while having fun and making lasting memories + keepsakes. Kids will take home 8 or more beautiful, hand-built creations that are waterproof and food-safe.

Limited spots available to ensure small groups. Sessions may not run if there are less than 3 sign-ups; you can choose to receive a refund or to transfer into another session.
*Note: There is no session on New Years' Day. Winter vacation session will run on 12/29, 12/30, 12/31, 1/2.
- Hands-On Instruction: A relaxed, hands-on, and interactive pottery workshop guided by an experienced host.
- Pottery 101: Kids wil learn foundational hand-building techniques like pinch pots and coils, then turn them into fun and functional pottery creations!
- All Supplies Provided: We bring the clay, tools, and materials! Kids will make and take home up to 8 pottery pieces!
- Firing + Glazing: Professional firing + glazing by our team is included in the price. Pieces will be ready for pick up 4-6 weeks after the session ends. We will hold pieces for 30 days to be picked up, after which they will be recycled.
- Beginner-Friendly Vibes: Laid-back, no-pressure, fun and creative energy perfect for kids who've never worked with clay before. These sessions are also great for kids who are looking to expand on their skills!
While we take every precaution, pottery is an art form and sometimes pieces can break or crack during drying and firing. We cannot be held responsible for any damage or loss that may occur during the process. Thank you for your understanding and support.
Our vacation week pottery workshops feature rotating themes to keep things fresh and fun. During the school year, kids enjoy our classic pottery sessions focused on foundational skills and creative expression, while summer brings imaginative, themed adventures. From sculpting mugs and room décor to crafting bird feeders and tic-tac-toe boards, each session is a hands-on experience that builds creativity, confidence, and excitement to keep coming back for more.
6/22 - 6/26: Nature & Gardening Week
This session invites kids and teens to learn pottery basics while creating planters, bird feeders, garden accessories, and more. It’s the perfect way to kick off summer, get creative with clay, and bring together a community of nature lovers.
7/13 - 7/17: Animal Kingdom Week
Kids and teens will learn pottery basics while making pet accessories, animal sculptures, and functional pieces inspired by their favorite creatures. From painting animal prints to sculpting one-of-a-kind designs, it’s a fun and hands-on way to explore their artistic side.
12/29 - 1/2, 2/16 - 2/20, 4/20 - 4/24, 7/27 - 7/31: Clay Classics Week
This week we are celebrating the simple joy of creating with clay. Kids and teens will learn pottery basics while making mugs, plates, magnets, and other everyday pieces. We don’t always need a theme; just the chance to get our hands messy and make something we love.
*Note: There is no session on New Years' Day. Workshop will run on 12/29, 12/30, 12/31, 1/2.
8/10 - 8/14: Decorate My Room Week
This week is all about adding a personal touch to your space. Kids and teens will create picture frames, lamps, pencil holders, and more; the perfect handmade upgrades for their rooms . Who needs to go shopping for décor when you can make it yourself?
8/17 - 8/21: Art Around The World Week
This week takes young artists on a global clay adventure. Each day, we’ll explore a different country and discover how its people have created (and still create) pottery. Using their unique techniques and styles, kids and teens will learn, experiment, and celebrate cultures from around the world through clay.
